Features
Sonic has many variations on two of his attacks: Down B (the Spin Charge) and Side B (the Spin Dash) which can be grouped under the term Spin Dash. These last can be more or less charged. You can also cancel them or jump at different points during these attacks. These different possibilities all have their uses and it is important to know them in order to be able to surprise your opponent.
Best moves
DOWN B ET SIDE B
These Spin Dash attacks allow the Sonic’s player to vary his approach according to the desired timing, which may surprise his opponent. Thus, the goal will be to attack the opponent at a distance that he cannot react after you hit him, because Sonic suffers from lag at the end of his Spindash. There are a lot of possible variations for Side B and Down B and it is important to know them.
NEUTRAL B
Can lead to kill confirms in edgeguard. Once you press B the move triggers itself after a while but you can always speed up the process by pressing B again. The attack will make you plow into your enemy unless he is too far away or cannot be hit, so be careful, because the attack gives you 74 frames of lag! So use it to read a jump, a get up attack or in tech chase on a platform above Sonic.
FORWARD AIR
Excellent combo tool. This attack is very fast, lasts 11 frames, which makes it an excellent low percent combo starter on itself for example.
FORWARD SMASH, BACK AIR
These are both attacks that are generally intended to kill, Sonic's main kill moves. For the Back air, it is slower than the Forward air, but it can kill earlier with the sweetspot, knowing that it can be more easily placed after using a Side B.
