Final Smash

The Final Smash is a devastating attack that is obtained when you hit a Smash Ball or by filling the Final Smash gauge. Once it is activable, you simply press the special attack button. However, this is not an attack that is found in competitive tournaments, as the Smash Ball and Final Smash gauge are not activated.

Float

This is an ability that only Peach and Daisy have that allows them to float for a while in the air if you leave your jump button pressed.

Followup

This is anything that can follow an attack.

Followup
Footstool

When you perform a jump while directly above an enemy’s head, you will jump while leaning on them. If your enemy is in the air, this will throw them violently downwards and they will not be able to tech if they are above the ground, leaving them vulnerable. Note that you are invulnerable for 4 frames when you perform a footstool which can help you get out of a disadvantageous situation.

Fox-Trot

This is a technique that consists in only performing dashes with your character in order to advance. Some characters have a higher dash speed than a running speed, so it can be interesting. To perform a Fox-Trot, simply tilt the stick in one direction to start a dash animation, return the stick to the neutral position to cancel the running animation before tilting the stick again to make your character run.

Frame Data

The frame data concerns the number of frames that are contained in an attack, knowing that there are 60 frames per second. There are several stages in an attack, the start of the attack or “Startup”, the moment when the attack hits or “Hitbox” and finally the “Cooldown” or “Ending Lag” during which you cannot do anything before being able to act again.

Frame Trap

An attack that lets the opponent believe that it is possible to act at the end of our attack while he cannot react.
