This is when a character becomes less good after a patch. The character then got nerfed, in opposition of a buff.

It is a phase where none of the fighters have the advantageover the other. Most of the interest of Smash Bros Ultimate will ultimately lie in finding a way to win neutral in order to put the opponent in a disadvantageous situation and to get yourself in an advantageous state.

Aerial attack which happens when you perform an attack in the air without touching the directional stick

Special attack which happens when you press the special attack button without touching the directional stick.

When you get yourself hanging on the ledge, if you move the stick towards the stage, your character will get up without doing anything.
